With a push of a button (on the unit or on the pendant) you are in immediate communication with a care specialist.  Our wireless pendant is durable, lightweight and comfortable to wear.  Since it's water resistant, you can keep it on in the shower (where far too many home accidents occur).  You can even wear it at night.  (It has a breakaway cord if it gets entangled).  It has a 300' range so its wearer can trigger an emergency alarm from nearly any room in the home.  Or you can press the large Help Button on the face of the Base Station Console.

The Base Station puts you in immediate two-way voice contact with a Care Specialist who talks directly to you over the base console to find out what kind of help you need.  They will respond based upon your needs... and they'll stay with you until help arrives.

If you push the button needing help you will speak to a Care Specialist, we contact your local 911 medical services.  Then we contact your designated person (your doctor, or a close family member, or friend) to let them know what has happened to you and where you are.

When you sign-up with American Personal Alert Systems, you specify an emergency "call list" of local family, friends and neighbors.  In the event of an emergency - they will immediately dispatch paramedics or notify your emergency contacts.

We can contact and update anyone you ask us to in the event of an emergency situation.  You'll have the peace of mind knowing that you don't have to worry about notifying your loved-ones immediately.

They'll be there for you sooner and be able to assist in your care.

We encourage you to check in with the emergency call center every month just so you know your doing OK and your American Personal Alert System is functioning fine.
